When she started her business, Kathy Leskow was baking small batches of cookies in her home kitchen in Sherwood Park. She took them to the local farmers’ market, where they quickly established a fan base of sweets-lovers. To expand her cookie-making prowess, Kathy built a small bakery in her basement, and eventually moved into her first retail location six years after she started.

At Confetti Sweets, Kathy and her team bake a variety of cookies in flavors including gingersnap, peanut butter choco-chunk, and double chocolate. To up the sweet-factor, she makes cookie cakes by slathering icing over two layers of cookies, and she personalizes treats with custom messages. She also caters for special events with platters of 50 cookies—known as a light snack for Cookie Monster.
