When Carrie Langevin was a girl, she’d accompany her grandmother on berry- and plant-gathering missions, following close behind as her grandma explained the power behind each fruit, oil, and stem. When Carrie and her relatives would come down with pink eye or a sore throat, their botanically minded grandmother would brew healing teas and cure the family with time-tested medicinal plants.
Carrie’s grandmother wasn’t the family’s first healer.
