At Quest for Adventure, players fire paintballs across 12 different playing fields built on the diverse terrains of the Coronado sand hills. After brief instruction on equipment operation, paintballers slip on sniper smocks, fill up their ammo pouches, pull on masks, and adjust goggles equipped with thermal lenses, which are optimal for playing in fog and cleaning out the back of the freezer. From inside abandoned buildings, players fire 300 paintballs across ghost towns and open fields, occasionally pausing between assaults to reload their 98 Tippmann markers with canisters of high-pressure air. Meanwhile, sharpshooters can seek cover behind trees at forest areas, or snipe foes from inside deserted vehicles at the Chevy Cemetery. Quest’s paintball gurus outline all play areas with nets and plant a fresh crop of goggle-cleaning stations on the fields. After their included ammo has been depleted, players can buy additional paintballs on-site.
