Adrienne D. (sent this letter to me) -- Myself being a newcomer to yoga, I have been thoroughly enjoying Katherine Jensen's yoga classes. There are many aspects of Katherine and her yoga classes that I enjoy very much. First of all, Katherine is always very pleasant, welcomes here students and asks questions about us or how our day was. I really appreciate that my yoga instructor cares about here students and is genuinely and naturally building new relationships and friendships with people who come into her studio. By doing this, she creates a calm and comfortable ambiance. She also makes u feel very welcome to ask for specific poses to incorporate into class to address specific areas of our body or purely for pleasure. As an instructor, I find Katherine to be very patient, knowledgeable an inspiring. She always explains how to position correctly and will describe what we should or shouldn't be feeling. I find that to be very helpful in acquiring the proper position. When we are doing our yoga workout, Katherine encourages us to go as far as we can without hurting ourselves and always has safety in mind. I've been able to manoeuvre into some of the more challenging positions because of Katherine's gentle approach. Katherine is, to state it simply, a happy person and that is probably the quality I appreciate most in her and the reason that I felt so comfortable in her classes from the very first day. One can see that Katherine is fulfilling her passion in life right now and I support her!

Amy C. (letter sent in) -- Khara Yoga and Katherine's classes incorporated a variety of stretches, movements and poses. She thoroughly explained an showed how to do each one, also giving us the option of modified poses or advanced. Katherine remembered my concerns of my injuries and health conditions every class and addressed them with care and compassion. It is evident that her passion in Yoga and wellness, as well as every aspect relating to these. She demonstrates this not only during her classes but through conversation and everyday life. Yoga for Today said: August 28, 2009

This letter was written by Chris Erdmann Boyko (founder of Yoga for Today) to The Yoga Association of Alberta after only one week in training --

To Whom it may concern: Katherine Jensen is part of the YfT's 2009/10 Teacher Training Program which began Sunday, August 23rd. Throughout our yoga practice and sessions over the last week, Katherine has demonstrated a sound understanding of alignment, body mechanics and a good sense of body awareness. We are pleased having Katherine in our TTP program and would recommend here for any 300 hour teacher training program!
